About Megan McEllistrem, DO
Dr. McEllistrem completed medical school in Kansas City, MO after attending the College of Saint Catherine for her undergraduate education. She completed her residency at the University of Minnesota. She is board certified and a fellow in the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology (FACOG). Dr. McEllistrem has been named a “Top Doctor Rising Star” by Minneapolis/St. Paul Magazine. She serves on a committee focused on collaborative care with M Health Fairview Certified Nurse Midwives and Family Medicine providers. She currently serves as the Department Chair of the OBGYN Department for Fairview east metro region hospitals. Dr. McEllistrem has done many medical mission trips to Honduras and Africa.
Her greatest interests in medicine are the long-term relationships with her patients. She very much enjoys all areas of obstetrics, including high-risk pregnancies as well as minimally invasive surgical procedures.
Dr. McEllistrem loves adventure! She has been whitewater rafting in Colorado, backpacked across Europe, cycled down a Hawaiian Volcano and swam with sea lions in the Galapagos Islands. She continues to teach that love of adventure to her kids, spending times deep sea fishing and exploring national parks and dude ranches.
