About Melissa Jones DNP, WHNP-BC
Melissa earned her Bachelor Degree in Nursing with a concentration in Women’s Studies from St. Olaf College. From there, she completed her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree in Women’s Health at the University of Minnesota in 2016.
Melissa brings to MetroPartners previous experience working in a busy family planning clinic providing sexual and reproductive health services. Melissa values individuality in the patient experience and strives to bring a holistic perspective to her practice. Areas of practice that she is particularly interested in include adolescent/young adult gynecology, contraceptive care including IUD and Nexplanon procedures, infertility and prenatal care with a focus on patient education.
Melissa was born, raised, and educated in Minnesota. Melissa spent five years working as a Registered Nurse at the University of Minnesota Medical Center before pursuing her advanced degree. In her free time, Melissa enjoys traveling, going up to the family cabin, cooking, and spending time with her family including her husband, daughter, and their Tibetan Terrier Marley.
