Lauren Normandin, PA-C
Physician Assistant
About Lauren Normandin, PA-C
Care philosophy: I strive to develop a patient-provider relationship built on trust and honesty in order to ensure we are making the best choices together.
I am a physician assistant specializing in comprehensive gynecologic care. I care for patients across the lifespan, from adolescence through later adulthood, and enjoy the variety that comes with caring for patients with a wide range of gynecologic needs.
I have a particular interest in pelvic floor disorders, including pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence. I have specialized training in urodynamics and enjoy helping patients better understand their symptoms and treatment options. I like to work collaboratively with our pelvic floor physical therapists and physicians to develop individualized treatment plans.
My background includes extensive surgical experience. I completed a post-baccalaureate certificate in Surgical First Assisting through Mayo Clinic and have assisted with robotic, laparoscopic, vaginal, and open gynecologic surgeries, including complex prolapse procedures. This experience has given me a unique perspective when counseling patients about both nonsurgical and surgical treatment options.
I believe healthcare is most effective when patients feel heard, respected, and empowered to participate in their own care. As someone who is also a uterus owner, I understand that navigating gynecologic healthcare can feel vulnerable, and I strive to create a comfortable environment where patients can ask questions and be open about their concerns. I am proud to provide inclusive and affirming care to patients of all genders, identities, and backgrounds. I especially enjoy caring for patients who are motivated to better understand their health and take an active role in their healthcare journey.
I earned my undergraduate degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Gustavus Adolphus College, where I competed on the women’s golf team, and my Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona.
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling with my husband, especially exploring Minnesota’s North Shore, playing golf, cheering on the Minnesota Wild, and spending as much time as possible snuggling our dog.
