Natalia Wiatros, DO

Dr. Wiatros is a native of the Twin Cities, having spent the first two decades of her life in Minnesota. The “Minnesota nice” culture that she was raised in is reflected in her empathetic demeanor and commitment to building trusting relationships with her patients in order to instill confidence and understanding of their health and treatment options.

Dr. Wiatros (it’s actually pronounced “Vee-Ahh-Trose” courtesy of her Polish background) graduated Summa Cum Laude from Hamline University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, as well as minors in Chemistry and Spanish. She earned her medical degree as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) from Des Moines University. During her medical training, Dr. Wiatros developed a holistic approach to diagnosing and treating patients and found her passion in women’s health.

She then traveled to Columbus, Ohio to complete her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology with OhioHealth at Doctors Hospital and Grant Medical Center. Her leadership abilities were demonstrated through her role as chief resident, educating junior residents in evidence-based practice though still creating an individualized plan of care for each unique patient. In addition to completing her robust clinical training and certification in DaVinci Robotic surgery, Dr. Wiatros also dedicated free time to guest lecture aspiring physician assistants in the broad discipline of women’s health and served as the resident representative for the hospital’s continual process improvement team to foster persistent progress in the quality of care provided for a diverse patient population.

Although she is grateful for the invaluable experience she gained in Columbus, she is ecstatic to return to Minnesota to serve patients of the community where she grew up. “Every day, I am reminded that practicing medicine is so much more than recognizing a set of symptoms. As OB/GYN physicians, we are here to listen to and empower women to lead healthier and more joyful lives and I am both humbled and honored to walk with and care for my patients during every chapter of womanhood”. Dr. Wiatros has special interest in minimally invasive surgery, high risk obstetrics, menopause management, abnormal uterine bleeding, obstetric and gynecologic ultrasound, contraceptive counseling, and improvement of sexual health and function.

Outside of work, Dr. Wiatros and her soon-to-be husband, Ravi, enjoy practicing yoga, reading thriller and historical fiction novels, traveling abroad, spending time with family/friends, and exploring local parks and restaurants with their mini-golden doodle, Echo.
