About Elizabeth Pesek, MD
Care philosophy: I believe that effective healthcare begins with truly hearing my patients and collaborating with them to make medical decisions. By valuing my patients’ insights, concerns and experiences, I aim to create a trusting environment to foster open and honest communication so patients are comfortable sharing their health stories in order to best work together to reach their goals.
One of my favorite things about being an OBGYN is building relationships with my patients and developing the trust and knowledge to address their health concerns, together. In addition to caring for patients during their pregnancy journey, I enjoy the diversity of patients I see: from young adults interested in birth control or decreasing menstrual bleeding, to the patients that come with peri-menopausal changes or concerning symptoms after menopause.
Over the almost 20 years I’ve been practicing, medicine has undergone many changes. There are new medications and treatment options that allow us to find multiple solutions to problems and improve the quality of patients’ lives. I love continuing to learn with and about my patients.
In the past 5 years, I became certified in robotic surgery. Prior to this training, I already performed almost all of my surgeries minimally invasively (small incisions), but if a patient had certain medical complications, I would refer them to my partners for robotic surgeries. Learning this advanced surgical technique has allowed me to continue to care for my patients with more complex medical issues who require surgery.
When I’m not working, I like to spend time outdoors during all of Minnesota’s seasons. My family and I love to travel. I also enjoy doing projects around my house while listening to true crime podcasts.
