About Katelyn Sola, CNM
Meet Katelyn Sola, MSN, CNM
Certified Nurse Midwife at Edina and Burnsville
Katelyn Sola is a certified nurse midwife at Southdale ObGyn that has two locations in Edina and Burnsville, Minnesota.
Katelyn earned her Bachelor of Science in nursing and went on to earn a Master of Science in Nurse-Midwifery at Bethel University in Arden Hills, Minnesota. Her career in healthcare initially started as a postpartum and labor/delivery nurse. Through her experiences in obstetric nursing, Katelyn felt inspired to advance her degree and go back to school for midwifery. She felt called to continue to care for women both in their pregnancies and birth as well as throughout their lifespan.
“Part of what I love about being a midwife is building relationships with my patients that extend beyond their pregnancy. It is so rewarding to get to connect with patients over the span of many months or years, whether it be throughout pregnancy with prenatal visits or for yearly annual exams,” shares Katelyn.
Katelyn appreciates the collaborative team of providers she works with at Southdale ObGyn made up of doctors, nurse practitioners and midwives. She feels this collaborative approach to care makes all the difference in the care that we provide for our patients.
Outside of work, Katelyn enjoys getting outdoors for walks with her beloved golden retriever and spending time with her family. Additionally, in her free time she enjoys working with her hands, whether it be working in her garden or crafting a new crochet project.
