Premier Women’s Health of Minnesota is committed to providing timely access to care for all patients. Missed appointments reduce availability for other patients and disrupt clinic scheduling. We ask that patients notify our office in advance if they need to cancel or reschedule.
Definitions
No-Show
A no-show occurs when a patient fails to attend a scheduled appointment without prior notice or arrives 15 minutes or more after the scheduled appointment time.
Late Cancellation
A late cancellation occurs when an appointment is cancelled or rescheduled after 3:00 PM on the business day prior to the appointment.
Late Arrival
- Patients arriving 10 minutes after their appointment time may be seen at the provider’s discretion.
- Patients arriving 15 minutes late will be considered a no-show and will need to reschedule.
No-Show and Late Cancellation Fees
The following policy applies within a rolling 12-month period:
First Occurrence: You will receive notification and a reminder of the clinic policy.
Second Occurrence: A $50 no-show or late cancellation fee will be assessed. The fee must be paid before additional appointments can be scheduled.
Third Occurrence: May result in dismissal from the practice.
Obstetrical Patients
To ensure continuity of prenatal care:
- Obstetrical patients will not be dismissed after 32 weeks of pregnancy.
- Missed appointments will continue to be tracked.
- If dismissal criteria are met, dismissal may occur after delivery.
Patient Dismissal
If a patient is dismissed due to repeated missed appointments, the clinic will provide routine and emergency care for 30 days from the date of dismissal to allow time for the patient to establish care with another provider.
