About Caitlin Kuck, MD

Care philosophy: I value patient-centered, evidence-based medicine, empowering my patients with the knowledge to make the best treatment decisions for their lifestyle.

As a young child, I told my mother that I wanted to become a doctor. This came as a surprise to everyone as I would become the first physician in my extended family. Growing up in a small town in northeast Wisconsin (Go Packers!), I initially thought I wanted to practice rural family medicine. Fast forward to my first cesarean section in medical school, bringing a new life into the world, and it was all over for me. The marriage of surgery and women’s healthcare clearly became my true passion.

My love of obstetrics and gynecology grew as I delved deeper into the variety offered in our specialty over the course of a patient’s life. From a nervous patient’s very first speculum exam to pregnancy, sexual health, discussions on menopause, prolapse, and beyond, I feel honored to gain my patients’ trust in allowing me to care for them. The most important part of my job is helping patients to understand their own health and physiology. I like to spend time with every patient speaking about the whys and hows of their condition so we can work as a team to find the best treatment options for each one’s lifestyle.

Outside of medicine, I spend my summers digging in my garden, waterskiing, and paddle boarding on the many lakes in the Minneapolis area. In the winter, I hang with my pets (a very silly maltipom dog named Asparagus and a giant Maine coon kitty named Mango!), care for my indoor plant babies, and bake to my heart’s content. I love international travel and scuba diving and always try to have a trip planned in the future.
