Sexual Health and Libido
Our OBGYN team plays a crucial role in supporting women’s sexual and reproductive health, addressing physical aspects such as hormonal imbalances, pain during intercourse, low libido, or postpartum changes that may affect a woman’s sexual experience or relationship dynamics. We partner with sex and relationship therapists or specialists when emotional or psychological support is needed. Together with mental health professionals, we help provide a more holistic approach to women’s sexual well-being.

Postpartum Mental Health
We play a key role in identifying and supporting women experiencing postpartum depression (PPD). Because our team is often the first health care provider(s) a woman sees after childbirth, we are in a prime position to screen for signs of PPD during postpartum checkups. We often assess symptoms such as persistent sadness, anxiety, fatigue, or difficulty bonding with the baby, and distinguish them from the more common “baby blues.”
Our role includes providing education, offering emotional support, prescribing medication if appropriate, and referring patients to mental health professionals for therapy. By recognizing and addressing postpartum depression early, we help ensure both the mother’s and the baby’s well-being.

Infertility and Mental Health
We play a central role in guiding women and couples through the physical challenges of infertility. When fertility issues arise, we are often the first point of contact—conducting initial evaluations, offering treatments, and explaining reproductive options. Recognizing that infertility can cause significant emotional stress, anxiety, and relationship strain, we also refer patients to infertility therapists or counselors who specialize in reproductive mental health. These referrals help ensure patients receive emotional support, cope with the grief and uncertainty of the process, and maintain overall well-being while navigating complex fertility journeys.
