Dr. Joanne Votel & Dr. Thomas Grande Announce Retirement

Dr. Joanne Votel and Dr. Thomas Grande are both retiring at the end of 2021 after decades in practice. Please join us in thanking Drs. Votel and Grande for their many years of patient care and wish them the very best in retirement!

Below you will find some parting words from Dr. Votel & Dr. Grande.

Dr. Joanne Votel

To my patients and colleagues,

It has been one of my greatest honors to have served the wonderful and diverse East Metro community for 33 years in the field of Obstetrics & Gynecology. With that, I will be retiring as of December 31, 2021. My last day seeing patients in the office will be December 23, 2021.

I’ve witnessed so many special moments in my patients’ lives, and these memories will stay with me forever. I’m humbled by the trust placed in me and medicine in these complex times. I’ve always felt that being a physician is the greatest profession one can have but being an OB/GYN physician has been even better than that!

I’m so proud to have worked among other dedicated colleagues and medical staff who have been so smart, skilled, and gracious with their knowledge, time, and support. I leave the practice I started and grew to what it is today in the hands of many capable clinicians, who I respect immensely.

Please know that my partners will continue to provide you with the most up-to-date and compassionate care possible.

I extend my wishes for your good health, and thanks for all you have given me.

With deepest gratitude,

Joanne Votel, MD

Dr. Thomas Grande

It has been an honor and pleasure to serve the East Metropolitan community for the last 41 years.

During that time I’ve met many great people and become a part of wonderful families. However, at age 72, it is time to retire. I will be retiring on 12/31/21.

I would like to thank the doctors and staff who have helped me at Metro OBGYN over those 41 years. Their help has been invaluable. I would also like to thank you, the patients, for your confidence and trust over the years.

The care at Metro, now MetroPartners, will continue as before. All of my partners are taking new patients and happy to continue providing your healthcare.

With warmest gratitude I wish you good health,

Tom Grande, MD
