Medical Scribe

 Job Description

Medical Scribe needed to work along side and report directly to MetroPartners OBGYN providers in fast paced OBGYN practices. Medical Scribe accompanies provider into the patient examination room in order to transcribe the exam, procedure, visit, and documents accurately the provider’s encounter with the patient and others present. Candidate should have the ability to listen to physician’s dictation for medical history, physical exam, laboratory and radiology findings, assessment and plan and summarize in a clear, complete fashion. Candidate will work with electronic medical record system and be able to transmit physician’s dictation into the electronic medical record (Athena). 

Requirements

Candidate should be proficient in typing, spelling, grammar and oral communication. Candidate should have an understanding of medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, diagnostic procedures, pharmacology and treatment assessments to the extent required to understand and accurately transcribe dictated reports. Must be proficient in computer systems (Microsoft Word, Excel) in order to prepare correspondence, medical reports and other documents. Candidate must comply with HIPAA confidentiality standards when accessing or communicating patient information. Preference will be given to an individual with previous experience. We have multiple offices so candidate must also be able to travel with the physician to our satellite locations. Teamwork is essential for the efficiency and success of the clinical and scheduling environment at MetroPartners Obstetrics & Gynecology, P.A.

Qualifications

Previous medical experience or science-based education required. Must be able to work 40 hours per week (Monday – Friday) Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Work requires standing/walking/sitting for extended periods of time. Must have the ability to react and perform in stressful situations and move quickly throughout the clinic.

  • Hourly Pay Range: $18.00 – $24.00
