Essential Functions
Greet and room patients in a prompt, professional manner while rendering the highest possible level of care. Provide support to provider by assisting with in office-procedures, performing phlebotomy and giving injections as necessary.
2. Under the direction of the provider, perform chemical, microscopic, gynecologic, hematological, parasitic and bacteriologic tests for use in treatment and diagnosis of disease.
3. Runs controls on equipment & performs temperature checks on refrigerator/freezer daily and maintains controls logs.
4.. Stocks draw stations with phlebotomy and injection supplies.
5. Reports any lab concerns, complaints, errors or QA incidents to Clinical Manager.
6. Responsible for all lab draws/ injections on the Lab Schedule each day.
7. Assists with daily order processes from outside lab to ensure receipt of all test results. Ensures that all specimens are appropriately bagged and placed in lockbox for lab pickup daily.
8. Orders and manages supply inventory for the clinic.
9. Assists at the Front Desk and Scheduling areas as needed.
10. Attends required meetings.
11. Supports goals and philosophy of the organization.
12. Maintain patient and company confidentiality.
13. Excellent attendance and punctuality.
14. Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
1. Requires sitting and standing associated with a normal office environment with extended periods of standing and walking in the lab.
2. Performs complex and varied tasks requiring independent knowledge and its application to a variety of situations.
3. Requires some bending, stooping and stretching.
4. Requires the use of office equipment, such as copiers, computers, telephones and fax machines.
5. Work requires hand dexterity for office machine operation, mobility to complete work, or standing for extended periods of time.
6. Must have the ability to lift 40 lbs.
7. Vision must be correctable to 20/20 and hearing must be in a normal range for telephone contacts.
8. Must be able to prioritize activities when faced with competing demands.
9. Normal office environment.

11. Exposure to blood or other potentially infectious materials in a lab setting.
12. Occasional evening or weekend work or overtime.
13. Work is performed in an office setting.
14. Contact with staff and physicians are frequent and interruptive.

17. Office is well-lit, well-ventilated, adequate space.
Qualifications
1. Experience
a. High school diploma or GED
b. Medical Assistant diploma from an accredited vocational institution required.
c. CMA certification required (new graduates must be certified within one year of
hire date), RN or LPN
d. Minimum of three-years lab experience required.
e. CPR certification required.
f. Planning, organization and multitasking skills
g. Proven ability and personality to work with others.
2. Possesses knowledge of:
a. A working knowledge of computers; computer skills at the level necessary for
working efficiently in the company’s practice management system, especially in the
electronic medical record.
b. Keyboarding (typing 30 wpm)
c. Ability to read and write.
3. Possesses skill in:
